MSC Magnifica 2029 World Cruise Opens for Booking at 119 Nights

MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its 2029 world cruise, a 119-night voyage aboard the MSC Magnifica visiting 45 destinations in 21 countries, the company said in a press release. The itinerary includes nine overnight calls and 15 included shore excursions, with a circumnavigation of Australia featuring new calls at Kangaroo Island, Broome and Darwin and an overnight in Fremantle/Perth. Extended stays in Bali, Lombok and Java are planned, along with new calls at Celukan Bawang, Lautoka and Timaru, and Milford Sound returns. Guests can join in early January 2029 from Civitavecchia (Rome) on Jan. 4, Genoa, Marseille or Barcelona. The fare includes the 15 excursions, the Dine & Drink package and a 30 percent laundry discount. Voyagers Club members at Classic level and above get 5 percent off, and members earn triple points on bookings made until Nov. 19.
💡 What This Means For You

If you want this sailing on the MSC Magnifica, pick your embarkation port first: Civitavecchia (Rome) on Jan. 4, or Genoa, Marseille or Barcelona in early January 2029. If you belong to MSC Voyagers Club at Classic level or above, you get 5 percent off the booking price. Members also earn triple points, but only on bookings made until Nov. 19. Check what the fare covers: the 15 excursions, the Dine & Drink package and a 30 percent laundry discount are included.

📝 Mark's Take

My read is that MSC is using the sales opening to pull in its most loyal customers early, and the Nov. 19 triple-points deadline is the lever. The 5 percent Classic-and-above discount points the same way, and it rewards people already in the Voyagers Club. The inclusions are the real selling point to me: 15 excursions, the Dine & Drink package and a 30 percent laundry discount take away much of the usual add-on spending on a 119-night trip. Nine overnight calls, including Rio de Janeiro, Ushuaia, Sydney and Singapore, also mean more time ashore than on a typical world itinerary. The Australian circumnavigation with new calls at Kangaroo Island, Broome and Darwin is the headline route, and Milford Sound returning is a nice bonus. Four embarkation ports, with Civitavecchia on Jan. 4, make the start easy for Europeans. In your shoes, I would price the all-in fare against what you would otherwise pay for drinks and tours, and decide before Nov. 19 if you are a member.
