Nor Cruises Signs MOU for Up to Five New Cruise Ships
Nor Cruises has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for up to five 82,000-ton cruise ships to be built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). The deal includes two confirmed ships and three options. If finalized, this MOU would represent the first large-ship order from a foreign company for CSSC. The newbuilds are expected to adopt designs from Fincantieri. Nor Cruises AS was incorporated in early 2023 and is working to raise capital to finance the construction of the cruise ships.
