Norwegian Viva Cancels San Juan Cruises Over Port Availability Issues
Norwegian Cruise Line has canceled all 7-night sailings of the Norwegian Viva from San Juan, Puerto Rico, between January 2 and July 23, 2028, due to port availability issues. The newer Prima-class ship, which can carry 3,195 passengers, will now be based out of Port Miami instead. This change affects a series of Southern Caribbean itineraries that were set to visit popular destinations like the British Virgin Islands and St. Lucia. For cruisers, this means they can either rebook on sister ship Norwegian Prima, which will offer similar routes, or opt for a full refund. Passengers who choose to rebook will also receive a 10% Future Cruise Credit, available starting June 8, 2026.
⚓ What This Means For You
Passengers booked on Norwegian Viva's San Juan sailings will need to consider alternative plans or rebooking options.
