Royal Caribbean Names New Chief Dog Officer, Dolly
Royal Caribbean has announced that its next Chief Dog Officer will be named Dolly, as revealed by CEO Michael Bayley. The name was chosen through a popular vote from passengers, who initially suggested seven names for the Golden Retriever. Dolly was added to honor singer Dolly Parton, who passed away in late August. The new Chief Dog Officer will join other dogs, Rover, Sailor, and Skipper, as part of Royal Caribbean's family dogs project. The Hero of the Seas, where Dolly will serve, is currently under construction and is scheduled to enter service in August 2027, offering seven-night cruises from PortMiami to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
